Baby Makes 3

It sure has been a long time since we've updated our blog BUT for a good reason. As you all know we are expecting Baby M on May 25, 2011. And recently found out our bundle of joy is a girl! We are super excited but pregnancy is not easy. I felt like I was hit by a truck of pregnancy symptoms that I was not prepared for. Maybe a little nausea here or there. But I was definitely not prepared for what I got. Mauricio has been great, he does the dishes since I look at the kitchen and gag just thinking about walking in there. I've gotten pretty good at running into the kitchen with a towel covering my nose and grabbing what I need out of the refrigerator as quickly as possible. Thank you to my mom who graciously came to our house to help with cleaning since our housework was piling up with one man down. The market is my biggest challenge. I NEED to go to the market to get food yet just thinking about all that food in there has me gagging in my car. I've learned to shop at Target and Walmart. If I start gagging in the cereal aisle I can meander my way over to clothing or shoes to regain my composure. You know, If I was showing and gagging in the market passerbyers would look at me and say "Oh that poor pregnant lady" but unfortunately at this point I just look like a weirdo walking up and down the aisles gagging over my shopping cart.

I am finally in my second trimester and eventhough I need to still take my medicine daily to function, I am having good days and bad days. And my Doctor has said this means the end is near! Eventhough, I have experienced morning sickness a little more then I would have liked, it is so completely worth it knowing we'll have a tiny bundle of joy at the end. Here is a picture from our most recent ultrasound at 14 weeks...

My intention was to utilize our chalkboard to document my "bump watch" but I have not had the energy to do it. I currently find myself in bed by 8pm. But as I have more energy in my second trimester I'd like to weekly post the chalkboard, the "bump", and this cute little questionairre I found to help document my pregnancy.

How far along? 15 Weeks
Total weight gain: 6 lbs+
Maternity clothes? Yep, mostly leggings. But I do have a pair of maternity jeans for those occasions that require more then just my leggings.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: I sleep 10 hours a night so I must be sleeping alright but I haven't had that uninterupted, deep sleep I so crave. It might be the never-ending bathroom breaks I now take in the middle of the night.
Best moment this week: Being able to actually go out to dinner with a friend like a real human being AND receiving Baby M's first outfit. See picture below.
Miss Anything?  I really haven't missed much since I've been sick. Everything made me want to be sick. Now that I am feeling better I miss apricot beer more then anything.
Movement: Not yet
Food cravings: pumpkin ravioli...And it has to be my luck that some of the most amazing raviolis are 1 block from my house.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Grease! The thought of fast food and anything fried just makes me sick. I feel like I can taste the smallest amount of grease in anything. And Chicken...now I know I haven't been much of a meat eater but the thought of chicken or any other meat for that matter makes me sick.
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Morning sickness, multiple bathroom trips
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: I've been pretty moody...mostly sick and emotional...poor Mauricio :)
Looking forward to: being able to shop for a little girl now!

Below is the adorable outfit, headband, and mary jane socks from my friend Kim.
